Fidelity Bank is gradually turning into a war-torn zone, as information reaching us shows that there is serious boardroom politics in the bank’s corporate head office, business herald has gathered from insiders. With fear and trepidation hovering around the once united bank, staff now go about with their hearts racing as the Managing Director, Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe is allegedly dealing with top management members who she suspects of still being loyal to the immediate past MD, Nnamdi Okonkwo. One of those who has felt her hammer is Mr Charles Aigbe who has been kicked out as the head of Corporate Communications for being ‘Nnamdi boy’. He has since left the bank to avoid further embarrassment by Mrs Nneka. Sources, however, revealed that Red Media was allegedly brought by the MD’s husband, Dr. Ken Onyeali Ikpe, who’s the group chief executive officer of Insight Redifini Group. This we gathered was done to remove every trace of insight being behind the scene, as it will raise eyebrows if Insight continues to be the bank’s advert agency. With the recent politicking going on at the bank, if not checked, Will definitely lead to the downfall of the bank. In other to get the bank’s side of the story, all efforts to reach Henry for comment proved abortive as he didn’t respond to calls from our newsroom.
